There’s no such thing as a good or bad meditation. Every meditation will be different. Thoughts are going to come in, the mind will wander. It’s all part of the journey..
I’ve dipped in and out of practising meditation over time but recent events have encouraged me to be more committed. During my practice today I had a moment where I could. not. stop. LAUGHING and smiling to myself! It was incredibly refreshing and I felt relaxed which is an unusual feeling for me and weird considering the state of things at the moment! It was so strange (but pure bliss!) to feel so free from the real world problems.
For your own peace, I 100% recommend meditation to help keep calm during crisis. It’s important to remember that healing doesn’t happen overnight. Shifting the balance to give your intentional brain more power takes some work! Consistency is KEY.
Remember, meditation isn’t always easy or even peaceful. But it has truly amazing benefits.
- Keep meditation to a time frame you won’t find overwhelming or hard to maintain.
- Come back when your mind wanders. & your mind definitely will wander. There’s no problem with that:)
- Don’t worry that you’re doing it wrong. You will worry that you’re doing it wrong. That’s OK, we all do. You’re not doing it wrong. There’s no perfect way to do it!
- Commit to do it.
